Colour Sensors
A wide range of Colour Sensors available for a wide range of applications.
Colour sensors from Powelectrics work on the same principal as a human eye.
All colours can be described as a combination of the basic colours red, green and blue. The sensor illuminates the coloured surface with white light or LEDs. The light reflected from the surface
to be recognized will be split up into these basic colours. As well as the colour values, there is an additional signal in our colour sensors that is proportional to the intensity. Because these values are normalized (always
total 10 V), a colour recognition signal can be obtained which is independent of the distance of the sensing head from the surface. This threefield method allows the recognition of almost every
visible surface at a rate of up to 10000 measurements a second.
The adaptive repeated "Teach In" function links the tolerance adjustment easily with the production conditions.
