Magnetic Flowmeter

18 July 2007
We are please to introduce to our flow sensor range a magnetic flowmeter, the SDI series. These magnetic flow meters are fitted directly into pipes via tube fittings or adapters.

Magnetic FlowmeterThe magnetic flowmeters measure the flow rate of all conductive fluids (such as water-glycol mixtures) which is read out via a 4...20 mA output. With a maximum error of 2% throughout the whole 1...40 l/min range, the sensors provide a very high measuring accuracy. The highly compact units feature an integrated 7 segment display which shows the current readings. Moreover, SDI sensors can be used to monitor maximal and minimal flow values. For that purpose, a switching output can be programmed as an NC or NO contact. Flow reversals are also detected – in that case, the readings are displayed as negative values. The sensors can be programmed via three integrated pushbuttons on the front side. They are particularly suited for use in tempering circuits, cooling systems, water treatment plants and sprinkler systems.
