Colour Sensors
A wide range of Colour Sensors available for a wide range of applications.
Colour sensors from Powelectrics work on the same principal as a human eye. All colours can be described as a combination of the basic colours red, green and blue. The sensor illuminates the coloured surface with white light or LEDs. The light reflected from the surface to be recognized will be split up into these basic colours. As well as the colour values, there is an additional signal in our colour sensors that is proportional to the intensity. Because these values are normalized (always total 10 V), a colour recognition signal can be obtained which is independent of the distance of the sensing head from the surface. This ‘threefield’ method allows the recognition of almost every visible surface at a rate of up to 10000 measurements a second. The adaptive repeated "Teach In" function links the tolerance adjustment easily with the production conditions.
Colour Recognition Sensor - colorCONTROL T1
The colorCONTROL T1 colour recognition sensor transmits white light from it's LED light source onto the surface to be checked. The refelcted light is directed onto a preceptivce 'true colour' sensitive element and separated into the RGB elements.
The working range is 30 to 60mm, the spot diameter is 5 to 13mm, and you can teach the unit 3 different colours. If you use the software to configure the unit you can set 255 colours into the devices memory.
Colour recognition sensors, colorCONTROL LT1
These colour sensors are compact and can store 3
colours via the teach in method or 255 colours when programmed from a pc. They come in a compact housing and have aswitching frequency up to 1500 Hz. The output options include switched npn/pnp or RS232 serial communications
Colour recognition sensors, colorCONTROL LT2
These colour sensors worjk in conjunction with fibre optic cables and use a perceptive colour sensing
system and can store 255 colours in the memory. They are pc programmable for ease of use via either the RS232 or USB ports, and have high performance comparable to that of the human eye.
Colour Recognition Sensors, colorCONTROL LT3
This is perceptive two channel colour recognition sensor with a 255 colour memory. You can program the colour sensor from your PC via either USB or RS232 to detect colours with the same resolution as the human eye.
The colour sensor is used in conjunction with fibre optics.
Colour recognition sensors, colorCONTROL R30 D
A colour recognition sensor with white LED illumination which can store 31 colours. The measuring range is 10 to 60mm. With automatic tolerance adjustment, laptop configuration via a simple windows based interface they have a switching frequency up to 37.5 kHz.
Colour Recognition Sensor - colorCONTROL R80 D
With a wide measuring range of 40 to 200 mm this colour recognition sensor is great for use in the automotive industry. You can configure up to 31 colours in it's memory, programming from either a PC or by hte pushbuttons. The measuring frequency is up to 37.5 kHz, and the unit uses 12 bit analogue to digital conversion for high accuracy and performance.
Long Range Colour Recognition Sensor - colorCONTROL R200 D
The R200 D is a long range colour recogntion sensor with a range up to 400mm, and can be used for contrast evaluation at distances of up to 2 metres from the target. You can program in up to 31 colours to the sensor memory, via either the pushbuttons or a computer.
The R 200 D is used in applications such as car bumper and spoiler colour identification / checking, colour detection for car interior parts and colour allocation during food production.
Colour recognition sensors, WLCS M4 series
The WLCS M4 series of colour recognition sensors are
easily programmed using the ‘teach in’ function and can recognize 4 colours. The integral LED illumination has a long life and there is a great deal of flexibility with the fibre optics available. The sensing range is 2 to 50mm and there are 4 switched outputs, though there are options for an RS232 interface. Respeonce time is 1 millisecond.
Colour recognition sensors, WLCS M12 series
This 12 channel colour sensor has a 0.5
millisecond response time and an RS232 interface. They are easily programmed using the ‘teach in’ function and can recognize 4 colours. The integral LED illumination has a long life and there is a great deal of flexibility with the fibre optics available.
Colour recognition sensors, LC 200X series
There are two type of this colour sensor, one which can
store one colour, the other can store 4. The colours are quickly and easily stored using the ‘teach in’ function and the LED illumination ensures a maximum operational life. The sensing distance can be from 1 to 50mm, the object size can be as small as 0.5mm and the response time is 1 millisecond.
Colour recognition sensors, FES series
With over 1,000 of these colour sensors in the field they
have proven to be very popular and reliable over the years. You can store between 1 and 4 colours with the ‘teach in’ function, the response time can be as little as 400us and the sensing range up to 80mm. The halogen light source allows for a massive colour spectrum and provides high performance, the object size can be as little as 1mm and the unit comes ina robust industrial package.
Colour recognition sensors, CSS RE series
This colour sensing solution comes in 3 parts – you have
a light source and a receiver in M18 bodies, and then the separate electronics in a rugged industrial housing. Sensing distances can be up to 200mm, the response time is typically just 100uS.
Print mark detection sensor, DCF 966
This print mark detection sensor can work at high speed
up to 20kHz, and can look at spots just 1.5mm in diameter. The sensing distance can be up to 20mm. This print mark detection sensor is ideal for labels, foils, packaging, printing and paper applications.
Colour sensor LT1-STB
modulated bright white light from an LED onto the tarket. This product is well suited to checking the "tax strip" on a cigarette box. Some of the light that is reflected from the target back into the fibre optic cable onto a perceptive True-Colour-sensitive detector.
