Powelectrics Enjoyed A Little Taste of Normality This Week!
Powelectrics enjoyed a little taste of normality this week, when Sean Nelson came present his progress on Powelectrics brand new Product Lifecycle Management System to colleagues from the various departments, who will soon be using it every day.
Sean is a Leeds University student, doing an MEng in Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence. This internship role was created via the Staffordshire Digital Innovation Partnerships (SDIPs) program, which forges partnerships between Staffordshire SMEs and Staffordshire University, to support the development of new products and services based on innovative digital technologies.
The Product Lifecycle Management System will draw together a number of existing independent data storage solutions, enabling rapid retrieval of information on all our IIoT devices, sims, accessories and sensors.
The development of this system is part of Powelectrics absolute commitment to continuously improving internal procedures and enhancing our customers’ experience.
Amongst its many benefits, it will allow the Powelectrics team to:
• Expedite testing of kit prior to despatch.
• Improve customer service in terms of technical support and returns
• Enable early identification of technical issues relating to specific batches or components.
The system is shaping up well and should be fully tested and installed by Q3!
Some of the Powelectrics team have been based at HQ throughout the pandemic due to the hands-on nature of their roles. The remaining office-based team members will be gradually returning over the coming weeks, fully respecting Covid safety regulations of course!
We can’t wait … seeing our workmates again … then seeing our customers visiting … and especially for when we finally get to that long-overdue 2020 Christmas party!!!
