Powelectrics Introduce Ian Bourke … Our New Finance and Operations Manager!

Posted on 26 Nov 2019

We are delighted to welcome Ian Bourke, who joined the Powelectrics team in September as our Finance and Operations Manager. He is already having a major impact, streamlining and automating our internal procedures in preparation for the future growth of the business.

Ian is a CIMA accountant, bringing broad experience in sectors ranging from multinational parcel, pallet and industrial logistics to education, retail software and leisure.

"I’m joining Powelectrics at a particularly exciting time. We have just launched the Metron4 telemetry hardware and have a new version of our cloud coming in Q1 2020. The team have made me feel very welcome and I can’t wait to help the potential for this business to become a reality."

Ian grew up in sunny Somerset, but loves living in Staffordshire, having relocated for his career over twenty years ago. He still follows Yeovil Town football club as well as West Ham.

His dedication to club football, cricket and rugby has given way to a love of golf and he’s a member of his local club, Whittington Heath. He also enjoys frequent golf trips with sporting buddies, past and present.

Ian is a keen runner, regularly trying to beat his PB at Walsall Arboretum Parkrun.

He was inspired to take up running by his marathon running brother, who lives in Australia.

Ian’s partner, Clare, is from New Zealand, so they’ve enjoyed many Antipodean adventures to visit family and they are looking forward to introducing their own young family to New Zealand’s gorgeous South Island on a camper van tour.

He is most definitely part of his village community and his two young daughters ensure that he keeps involved in many elements of village life. His rural home location is the perfect base for them to enjoy the great outdoors usually accompanied by Wilma, their lovely Staffie-cross rescue dog.

So, welcome on board Ian. We look forward to benefitting from your experience, energy and enthusiasm!
